SACO art auction a success

Several top local artists donated their work to the fund-raising venture which also featured a fine performance by the young string musicians in the Orchestra. Patrons were treated to gourmet wine and cheese tasting to top off the evening.

The Founder of SACO Kenneth Listhrop said he was extremely pleased with the support he received from the Ministry of Education, the artists and the business community. He added that SACO’s mission is to help make a difference in the lives of the TT’s youth through the medium of string instruments.

The registered non-profit organisation will now be able to purchase enough string instruments to launch its Community Outreach Programme for 2006.
