Cunupia man in court for murder

Chris Singh, of Campo Riverside Road, Cunupia, appeared before Magistrate Avason Quinlan in the Port-of-Spain Fourth Magistrates’ Court charged with the murder of Maria Selman at Old Bay Road, Maracas Bay.

Singh was unrepresented in court although his lawyer Ian Brooks was in another court waiting on the case to be called there. Singh was not called upon to plead and he was remanded in custody to reappear on June 2.

PC Ameer Mohammed of the Homicide Bureau laid the charge.
