Schoolgirl, 13, raped

According to police reports, the child told lawmen her male relative, a 41-year-old labourer, forced her to have sex with him yesterday. Police also said the girl complained that the man had been sexually assaulting her since September.

A medical examination by District Medical Officer Dr Naidike, confirmed that the girl was sexually active. Police said that an arrest would be made soon. WPC Ramlal-Sawh is continuing investigations.
