Father of 9 murdered

Mohan Lall of Waterloo Road in Carapichaima left home on Tuesday to attend the cremation of a friend at Waterloo Cremation site.

He was seen liming at Norma’s bar in Waterloo Road, Carapichaima around 8 pm.

Three hours later, a passerby discovered the body lying at the side of the road and alerted E999 Rapid Response officers.

Lall appeared to have been robbed and the body bore a single gunshot to the back of the head.

His gold Nissan Almera car was not found. Police believe Lall was hijacked, robbed and taken to Fort George where he was shot dead.

Police records indicate 164 persons have been murdered this year.

The father of nine was described by relatives as a caring and respected person.

Lall’s body was identified by one of his sons.
