Cox easily wins Ramsamooj 12k

Cox romped home in 41:50 saw the runner-up Sandino Nero trot in at 44:06 with another top local distance runner Errol “Bald Head” Williams finishing in third in 44:43 while Jeffrey Holder was fourth in 46.29.

Tonya Nero was first home in the women’s category in 5:55 with Paulette Lucess, grand-daughter of the well-known Lynette “Granny” Lucess, second.

Third was Josanne Rojas of Moruga with veteran Solange Griffith fourth.

In the race held in honour of the late Sahadeo Ramsamooj who at age 21 finished third in the CLICO Marathon of 1990, Foster Medina topped the Men Over-50.

The Over-60 winner was Mugabe Asa with Susanah Joefield capturing the Women Over-50 category.
