Lawyer on obscene language charge

Otway appeared before Magistrate Halcyon Yorke-Young in the Port-of-Spain Third Magistrates’ Court charged with using obscene language and resisting arrest on Saturday at Tragarete Road, Port-of-Spain.

Otway pleaded not guilty to both charges. He was represented by Camini Naraynsingh-Chan who said she was holding for Desmond Allum SC and Ravi Rajcoomar. Allum was out of the country and Rajcoomar was in the Court of Appeal.

The case was adjourned to September 1.
