Shak Attack wins again in Supligen b-ball

They defeated Trailblazers 83-58 in the Men’s First Division at the weekend which also saw the reigning women champions Courts Horizon clobber Trailblazers women 87-63.

And in the Second Division Shak Attack edged past Supligen Barataria Ball Players 80-73.

Coming off a win over National Flour Mills, their first victory of lead of the first quarter courtesy a buzzer-beating three-pointer by Kirt Christian, which is still being protested.

It was contended Christian released the ball inside the three-point circle, but the referees ruled otherwise. Thereafter, it was all Shak Attack, and at the half time interval they led by 14 points 39-25.

Shak Attack continued to outplay their opponents in the third period which ended 56-32, behind some excellent work by Christian.

Christian finished with a game high 16 points and teammate Kevin Blugh had 12, Terrance Mayers added ten. Shak Attack dominated the final quarter for their comprehensive victory.

In the women’s game, Chezelle Griffith downed 18 points Horizon, with Pietra Gay adding 17 points and Rachel Thompson-King nine. Meanwhile, in the Second Division action Shak Attack got 21 points from Kenneth Hinds and Joel Lee scored 16 in their victory over Ball Players who got 22 points from Brett Granville.
