‘Eastern Lions’ gobble up Combine
The “Eastern Lions” edged Combine FC 3-2 with a Jonathan Glenn double and another goal from Dinelvi Tinto in their re-scheduled Eastern Conference game. Kevin Edwards struck both goals for the losers.
In another re-scheduled match at the weekend, this time in the Western Conference, Carib FC shut out Barataria Ball Players 2-0 on goals from Jason Lightbourne and veteran Jellineau Gill.
Carlsberg Athletico Sports Institute won a high-scoring match against Malta Carib Alcons in Western Conference action. Ian Laurence scored two goals, Clint Raymond and Tiba Alexander one each for Athletico to edge Alcons 4-3.
Akenne Ousbourne found the nets with a double for Alcons, while Mohammed Nakeed got the other goal.
M&M Real Maracas came from a goal down to snatch a 1-1 draw with WASA Clean & White.
Ricardo Bennette gave the WASA men the lead which they held until half-time, but Hayden Vincent struck the equaliser midway through the second period.
And also in the Western Conference, Justin Nero’s goal was the only one of the match for Malick Togetherness to edge Ballymac Progressives.
