Xterminators take out Poison in Tyro windball

Poison batted first and totalled 64 for six led by Daniel Espionoza with 13 and Mark Doolam 12.

Timothy Surujbally took three wickets for ten runs and Radee Sooknanan got two for 10.

Sooknanan then capped a good allround performance with 14 runs, Vishnu Ramsaroop contributed 15 not out and Simon Ramchardan 12 to lead Xterminators to 70 for six.

Stephen Cipriani got two wickets for five runs and Joe Marquis two for 14 bowling for Poison.

Drifters also had a convincing 24-run victory over Blazers United in their game.

After totalling 71 for seven wickets led by Gary James’ 19, Blazers United were bundled out for 47 with Gobin Mohammed topscoring with 16. Meanwhile, Drifters will meet United Progressors at noon tomorrow in a Big Eight quarter-final.

And Poison take on host team Tyro from 3 pm in the other quarter-final game on the same day.

On Sunday, Five Rivers Artilleros meet Blazers United from 9 am and Bescrete take on Xterminators from 3 pm.
