Parliament back to work

Tomorrow’s debate will focus on a motion by Independent Senator Prof Ramesh Deosaran which calls on the Government to outline the specific measures that are being taken to deal with the crime situation in TT today.

Should debate on that motion be completed tomorrow, the Senate will then debate a motion by Independent Senator Dr Eastlyn McKenzie calling for the Senate to appoint a committee to sit jointly with a committee from the House of Representatives to determine the adequacy of current accommodations for the Parliament, devise plans for its long-term accommodation and determine whether Parliament should be relocated from the Red House to make way for the Office of the Prime Minister.
