Ramdial cremation on Wednesday

Relatives of Ramdial said that he had requested a simple funeral service prior to his death.

The service will begin at 11 am and the rites will be conducted by Pundit Hardath Maharaj of Cumuto.

Reverend Teelucksingh will also officiate at the funeral service.

Ramdial, who was a Hindu, will be cremated at 2 pm.

He leaves to mourn his wife Gloria and sons Garvin and Gary.

Meanwhile, the San Juan Business Association’s (SJBA) president Gail Merhair in a statement yesterday said, “It is foolish and wrong to mourn the man who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.”

She said Ramdial will be remembered as a close friend of the SJBA, always participating in activities relating to the association and who in no small measure added virtue, good work ethic, humility and a sense of careful composure to all those around him and by extension, the national community.

Merhair stated that the Executive Committee and all members of the SJBA extended their deepest condolences to the family and wholeheartedly thanked God for granting the SJBA the opportunity to have had the pleasure of his company and experience.
