Holy Name Convent pupils benefit from Atlantic LNG

This came courtesy Atlantic LNG who yesterday donated US$5, 000 towards the Pledge-A-Child programme at the school.

The programme combines with the “Run It To Win It” programme from which students were required to take part in any athletic sprint event for a chance to win a ticket to the CAC Games.

Atlantic LNG’s Corporate Comm-unications Officer Billson Hainsley handed over the cheque for TT$32,000 to Cheryl Ryan-Mohammed, Executive Director of L&M Promotions at the school’s compound yesterday. Ryan-Mohammed is the brain-child of the programme and has been to numerous school across Trinidad and Tobago to promote it.

It began in the sister -isle of Tobago where nine schools were visited and thousands of students were pledged for.

Many thousands more from schools in Trinidad will also be making their way to the athletic meeting and include Toco Composite, Fatima College, Queen’s Royal College, St Mary’s, Holy Faith Convent Point Fortin.

Tickets to these schools will be distributed between today and Friday but Ryan-Mohammed is urging schools who were not visited to contact her at telephone number 27-7479 to order tickets.

According to Ryan-Mohammed, the schools were not visited because of the limited time available to do so.
