Scuffle report for PSC soon

Yesterday, PSC chairman Christopher Thomas told Newsday all the parties involved, have submitted reports to the PSC.

He noted that an investigating committee was appointed to review the reports and submit their findings.

Thomas told Newsday that based on the findings of the committee, a decision will then be taken on the matter. The PSC recently appointed a committee to review reports of a disciplinary nature against members of the Police Service. Danglade is on sick leave while Roach is also on leave.

Danglade of St James Police Station claimed that on Friday May 26, he was carrying out traffic duties in St Clair when he advised a motorist not to proceed along a restricted area.

Danglade added that a man dressed in plainclothes instructed him to allow the driver to proceed along the restricted area.

Danglade said he attempted to arrest the person for obstructing him in the execution of his duties.

At this point, Danglade and the person who was later identified as Roach got involved in a scuffle. Danglade said he left and sought medical attention.

Witnesses, as well as Danglage and Roach have submitted their statements to the PSC. The statements were handed over to the committee appointed to investigate the report.
