Rodrigo lands Movietowne Magic restricted feature

Ice Timber ran on from the back of the six-horse field to get second, although posing no threat to the first two.

Young Venezuelan rider Yubari Garcia created a very favourable impression driving his first mount on Trinidad and Tobago soil Fearless Angel from the off to the wire in winning the day’s opener.

But the day’s riding honours were shared by another Venezuelan and Galviz and Ricardo Jadoo who both landed two winners each.

Trainers Chester Roberts, Jack Debideen and Glenn Mendez, each saddled two winners on the day’s nine-race programme.

Because of the very small fields, tote and exacta dividends were relatively moderate.

Best dividend on the tote was paid out on Movietowne Magic $13.70 and $4.20.
