Mom offers $15,000 for info on kidnapped son

Sharma Balchan of Mc bean Village Couva, told Newsday that her son Joey Motilal, 24, was kidnapped by four men on June 28 at Perseverance Village, Chaguanas.

Since then she has not heard from her son.

Officers of the Chaguanas Police Station detained two suspects and they were charged with the kidnapping of Motilal.

The two persons charged were interviewed by officers of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad but did not provide any useful information to investigators.

Balchan told Newsday that she has not had a good night’s rest since her son was kidnapped and is praying that he is released.

The distraught mother of seven added that her son is a gardener and troubled no one.

She said that she consulted with pundits who told her that her son is still alive but is being threatened.

As tears streamed down her face, Balchan told Newsday that she is desperate to have her son back at home and decided to use her hard-earned savings to offer a reward.
