Endeavour win in night windball

Savannah Boys totalled 712 for eight led by S Bachan and R Sanowar with 13 runs each.

Neil Ramnanan took four wickets for 12 runs and Narine Roopnarine got two for three runs.

When Endeavour replied, it was touch and go but they crawled to 72 for seven wickets and victory.

Jodhan Manohar topscored with 15 and R Persad got 14, while Sanowar completed a good allround match taking three wickets for ten runs and A Gangerpersad three for 14.

In women’s action, Victor’s XI got past Drifters by five wickets led by Jamie Walters’ unbeaten 19 and Allison Seepersad 16.

After bowling out Drifters for 48 with Jessie Mundoo 16 and Maureen Cudjoe ten. C Simon took two for five and Susan Lee Tang two for eight, the winners reached their target losing five wickets.

Combined XI completed a comfortable six-wicket victory over Drifters who were losing for the second time in two days.

Drifters posted a total of 53 for five wickets with E Massiah scoring 24 and S Lalla 12. U Roseman took two for nine.

Replying, Roseman ended a good allround display with a topscore 15, Liana Samuel scored 14 and G Smith 10 to carry Combined XI 54 for four wickets. S Lalla took two for eight runs.
