Poultry depot owner robbed

Ansar Aligore of Cipero Street, San Fernando reported to police that at about 2 pm a bag containing the money, was snatched from his hands.

Aligore, said he was about to enter Republic Bank on Cipero Street to make the deposit when two men left a car park opposite the bank and walked up to him. The businessman told police the men pointed guns at him and grabbed the money bag before running off.

Aligore went to the San Fernando CID where he reported the incident. Police subsequently carried out a mobile search for the bandits but were unsuccessful. Up to late yesterday no arrests had been made nor was Aligore’s money recovered. PC Rishi Ramdass is investigating.
