Dookeran, you give me hope

Dear Mr Dookeran,

I attended your meeting at Freeport and wish to express to you my deepest gratitude. When I started believing that hope was lost, you renewed that hope.

Your speech was sober and real. Clearly, you understood that this was not a time for braying headline-catching nonsense from the platform, you spoke on national issues, people and community issues, real issues!

As a mother and a teacher, you have helped me to believe again that we still have hope that things can change and you’ve given me a stronger belief that in time, things will change for the better.
