Too many holidays

We should remove all religious holidays which will include Christmas of course. Indian Arrival Day should be renamed Arrival Day to include all who came. Emancipation Day should remain because it represents the end of slavery caused by the Europeans.

Independence Day must remain and should be a grand affair to include all citizens. A new day should be included, that is Heroes Day - this will honour all who achieve greatness for our country.

We will now have four public holidays in Trinidad and Tobago, for those who want to celebrate their religious day it should be done on the individual’s own time and not on the country’s time.

This country has too many public holidays and people want more, but they are not willing to work a little extra.
