Triathlon trials at ‘Chag’

The national trials take place from the Cove, Chaguaramas and along the Western Main Road, starting at 7 am.

All triathletes between the ages of 18-89 are invited to the trials according to public relations officer Brent Elder.

A Trinidad and Tobago team is expected to compete at the Triathlon World Championship to be held in Switzerland in September.

Trials will be contested in two categories— juniors and seniors.

But the top three women finishers overall will get $1,000; $800 and $500.

Registration fee is $100 and can be paid up to one hour before the start.

There will be a $1,000 bonus prize to the athlete to complete the race in under and up to two hours.

And there will be prized for the winners in all age groups.
