‘Musical Evening II’

The concert will feature renowned jazz pannist, composer and teacher Dr Barry Harris who will be accompanied on acoustic bass by Martinique’s Alex Bernard and on drums by Sean Thomas.

Trinidadian Gerry Banfield, a member of Andre Tanker’s Contraband, will also share duties on drums while Thomas exchanges duties on the double second steelpan. The Jazz Artist Workshop Students (JAWS) Ensemble will also perform.

Bernard, a member of Caribbean Jazz Master, Luther Francois’ Group, also performed in TT earlier this year with Rosemary Phillips of Barbados.

The concert will celebrate the fifth anniversary of the “Jazz Artist Workshop” and will be attended by His Excellency, Professor George Maxwell Richards.
