‘Unity In Diversity’

The fourth annual very successful Emancipation celebration, the brainchild of the two parish priests, Canon Claude Berkley and Fr Carl Williams, is celebrated at the church with the congregation dressed in ethnic wear, and a cultural presentation during the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

This year’s presenters are the Malick African Drums, St James Tassa Group, Mungal Patassar and Friends, Mia Gormandy and celebrated Hungarian pianist Charles Brunner. A trumpet fanfare is also part of the programme.

Michael Jay Williams, former president of the Senate, will be the visiting speaker at the service, following which there will be fellowship in the Memorial Hall with local and international dishes served.

There will be no 9.30 am service at the Chapel of Ease in Maraval, but the 6 am and 6 pm services will take place as usual at All Saints, 1 Marli Street, Newtown.
