Manning extends best wishes to Castro
A release from Whitehall yesterday stated that Manning was joining other Caricom leaders in expressing his concern on the hospitalisation of Castro.
Manning had several heart procedures in Cuba, the recent being the implanting of a pace-maker.
During his period of hospitalisation, he was visited by Castro.
Castro, 79, who is recovering from surgery on a bleeding intestine, has sparked speculation of his possible demise after he handed over power to his younger brother, Vice-President Raul Castro, for the first time in his 47-year presidency.
