Adventists celebrate Emancipation

The feature address was given by Elder Oswald J Pierre, vice-president of the Public Affairs and Religious Liberty Department of the organisation. Aura Stewart-Henry, co-ordinator of the Emancipation programme; Ian Green, Director of the Educational Department and radio evangelist, Elder Arthur Ghany of Operation Rescue Mission also spoke at the festivities.

The guests, which included departmental heads, pastors and staff workers of the conference, were treated to African music and delicacies as well as a performance by the Couva Seventh-Day Adventist youths. Pastor Robert Liverpool, executive secretary gave the closing speech in which he thanked the organisers and speakers for their contributions to the event.
