Met Office: No tropical storm coming
The Met Office said such reports were inaccurate and there is no evidence of a tropical storm developing near the island.
Officials said a tropical wave was discovered yesterday centred at 825 miles east of the Windward Islands, at a speed of 15/20 miles per hour, and that this activity is normal considering the fickle nature of the hurricane season.
The officials confirmed that some thunderstorm activity could be expected within the next day and is likely to develop into a tropical depression which poses no direct threat to Trinidad and Tobago.
