‘Toute Bagai’ at St Mary’s
The day began with mass at 8 am in the St Mary’s Parish RC Church on George Cabral Street. This was followed by the blessing of the stalls by parish priest Fr Gerard Tang Choon at the amphitheatre.
As part of the year-long celebrations which will culminate in January next year, “Toute Bagai 2” not only featured various fun stalls like hoopla, pop d balloon and pick a card but also health, Indian delicacy, religious and cake stalls.
Sumptuous breakfast and lunches were also available to the patrons. Later in the evening tea was served and a fashion show staged.
Throughout the day entertainment was provided by a DJ and there were live performances from the St James Tassa Group as well as the St James Tripoliam Steel Orchestra. The day proved to be a fun one for all who attended and many of the patrons chipped to the music and thoroughly enjoyed all the fun activities which were available. All proceeds went towards the St Mary’s Parish Church renovation fund.
