Learie in concert

Among the supporting acts are: Peter Joseph, The Assassin Dancers, Delores Alexander, Knots Landing and Nicole Farell.

Learie promises this concert will have new jokes with many skits based on new developments taking place in the country. He hinted that he will be dealing with a lot of social issues and bringing out the “hidden agenda” in many of the happenings in TT.

He will also be bringing back the comedy piece of Life of a Dog — Part 2. In this skit he will play the pot-hound who is tracking down a pure bred dog. It is only when the owner carries the dog for a walk that he was able to connect with his true love. This piece will be done with the accompaniment of music, he said.

He will also be working alongside the National Aids Coordinating Committee (NACC) to address the topic of AIDS among young people.

“I am happy that I could use the medium of comedy to reach out to people on this very important topic,” he said.

Learie is looking forward to this concert as he says this is entirely his show and he will be giving the local audience the best of his comedy. He noted that there are many frustrated people out there and he wants them to know that laughter is one of the best medicines to deal with stress and frustration. Tickets are priced at $100 for general seating and $125 for special reserve.
