Hurdle, who underwent open heart surgery just three weeks ago at St Clair Medical Centre, spent close to $150,000 on the surgery. So to offset her medical expenses, her sister-in law Bernadette, and sister Sandra took the initiative and were responsible for pulling off the event, along with Hurdle’s good and life-long friends Winston Dolly, Noel Gonzales, George Assam and Tony Alleng.

A number of other friends offered to do dishes for the dinner resulting in some 65 cooks doing the needful.

Entertainment came from Robert Munro and Friends, Gerry Prudent and Friends and DJ Small Box.

Hurdle’s children Greer and Brent, as well as her nieces and nephew were busy ensuring that the operations ran smoothly on the night. Here are some highlights.
