Mock bomb explosion at Cipriani Labour College

The graduates took part in a CERT full drill to show their knowledge and understanding of emergency management procedures, terminologies and management principles to deal with the magnitude of disasters that could occur.

Their “disaster” occurred at a mock shopping mall where a “bomb exploded” and the graduates quickly attended to the “injured” making sure everyone around them was safe and secure.

Roosevelt Williams, director of the programme said that this programme is geared towards people playing a role in their community. “These graduates would go out into their communities and train other people so they would become empowered.

“Without programmes like these things would be very chaotic if a disaster were to occur,” he said.
