Bunting is monopoly king

Bunting completed his victory with three minutes to spare of the allotted 90 minutes in the finals disposing of five rivals via the bankruptcy route.

Marissa Edmund the lone female contestant in the final match was the first person to be eliminated followed by John Remie. Vinood Radgecoomar was the runner-up and Dexter Broome finished third.

For his championship victory Bunting was awarded with the Grand Prize of two tickets to New York by Lornar Sankar, Manager of Amral’s Travel, agents for Travel Span Vacations.

He was also presented with a gold medal and a hamper courtresy L J Williams Ltd food products, by Candice Ward, the Snickers Brand Manager. The hamper included food products such as Snickers, Maple Leaf Ham, Ferrero Rocher chocolates, S&W canned Vegetables, Added Touch Cake Mix and other items.

All six competitiors in the monopoly final were awarded hampers courtesy L J Williams Ltd, with the runner-up and third-placed finishers getting silver and bronze medals respectively.

There were special awards presented to the top six contestants between the ages of eight and 19 years by Republic Bank marketing manager Michelle Palmer. These contestants were presented with RightStart Gift Certificates.

Winner 13-year-old Tamara John of St. Joseph Convent San Fernando received $600, runner-up was 15-year- old Terry Rajkumar of Presentation College $500, third 12-year-old Joshua Voss of Holy Name Prep School received $400, fourth 17-year-old Nigel Pollard of Barataria Secondary $300, fifth Nehemiah Edwards, 13, of Fatima College received $200 and sixth Elton Hinds, 16, of St. James Secondary received $100.
