Pretenders, Endeavour in windball final

The Pretenders scored an easy 23-run victory over Shandy Boys in their semi-final.

After scoring 85 for five in their ten overs led by Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin 22, and national batsman Shazam Babwah 20 and ex-nationals Narine Bideshi 18 and Rajendra Mangalie 16.

Then with Hansraj Persad taking three wickets for nine runs, they restricted Shandy Boys to 62 for six wickets.

Endeavour beat Outsiders by 25 runs after scoring 65 for six in ten overs with Jodhan Manohar scoring 19 and Kapil Harry 15, Outsiders could only muster 40 for nine wickets with only Jewan Sookdeo getting into double figures with 14. Kumar Kanhai took two for three, Narine Roopnarine two for six and Neil Ramnanan two for eight.

The finals took place yesterday — Women — Combined XI vs Victor’s — 7.30 pm.

Men — Pretenders vs Endeavour — 9.30 pm.
