Ma$tamind to Bring Caribbean Vibes to iTunes
As of late December, Ma$tamind signed a contract with Faluma Digital (faluma.com) one of Europe’s finest Caribbean music labels making all their music available for digital purchase on iTunes, musicload.de (Germany), emusic.com, fnacmusic.com (France), tunetribe.com, Sony, napster.com and AOL.de websites, so that soca listeners can walk and wine even if it isn’t Carnival time.
From February 7, Ma$tamind’s full catalogue which includes, “A Ma$tamind Christmas, The Pot O’ Gold Album, “Da Ma$tamind” Project,” I and II will be available digitally for purchase. Music fans around the world can enjoy songs from their favourite artistes such as Adrian Dutchin, Bomani, Lyrikal, Bunji Garlin and Shurwayne Winchester
“This is a huge step not only for Ma$tamind, but also for soca and our culture on the whole. We are hoping that our artistes will continue to work and plant seeds toward the growth of our music as a force to be reckoned with outside of the Caribbean” said Natasha Noel, business manager at Ma$tamind Productions.
The company’s ultimate goal is to ensure that the music is accessible to listeners everywhere. This is an ideal opportunity for artistes to promote themselves and the Caribbean culture on a world stage.
Ma$tamind Productions, an award-winning, full range music production and management company, was founded in 2005 by Natasha Andrews-Noel and Shawn Noel in Brooklyn, New York.
The company’s production catalogue consists of the “Pot ‘o Gold Riddim,” “Da Ma$tamind Project,” “A Ma$tamind Christmas,” and countless other collaborations with today’s leading soca stars. Through the Many Voices, One Sound initiative, Ma$tamind seeks to aide in the creation and promotion of the music of the Caribbean on an international level.
