Akon has to account

Danah’s brother is doing her a grave disservice by seeking to gloss over her misdemeanour lightly, and by extension a greater disservice to the wayward youth of our nation.

His mis directed sarcasm against Hinds places himself in Jesus’ shoes for which he is entirely undeserving.

Ian Alleyne forgets that sparing the rod spoils the child and the temporary unhappiness his sister is now facing is small compared to what lies ahead from family indulgence.

Hinds is indeed trying to protect our young people but Ian Alleyne is seeking to trammel his efforts.

One expects Danah’s family to support her rehabilitation.

Mr Hinds must stand firm and seek the prosecution of those to blame.
