Golconda cop Southern Sports thriller

After posting 210 for eight wickets with Eddie Khanhai scoring 45 and Ramel Rampaul, 44, Knockers were bowled out for the same score giving Golconda victory by virtue of losing less wickets.

Batsman Robin Ramraj scored a brilliant 132 to lead Vandamme to 273 for one wicket but Prem Moham missed his century by five runs scoring 95 and victory over Happy Hits who were restricted to 174 for nine.

Gandhi United won another close match, beating BXP by two wickets.

After BXP were restricted to 200 for seven, the Gandhi batsmen led by Navin singh 55 and Stephen Bedassie 45 reached 204 for eight wickets.

Blockbusters won another thriller, beating Surprise (Gasparillo) by two wickets.

Surprise Gasparillo got 63 from Manbodhan Dwarika and 44 from Renaldo Ali in scoring 230 for nine wickets. But in-form Kailash Sookdeo lashed 63 and Narine Ramnath added 38 to steer Blockbusters to 233 for eight.

All Apaches eked out a one-wicket thriller with Family XI.

Family XI totalled 193 for six in their allotted 30 overs and the Apaches scraped to 197 for nine wickets with Curtis Lessey, 49, and Koobaree Sookhai, 45, leading the way. Lawrence Sookram missed a century by nine runs in Commonwealth’s total of 222 for seven in their 42-run victory over Malgretoute.

Petrotrin (Penal) lost their first match in 12 games when they were beaten by three wickets by Starwars.

Clarence Mills took five for 32 and Clarence Persad, two for 53, to bowl out the oil men for 160, but despite Rasheed Mohammed hitting 72, Starwars struggled to 164 for seven as Ronald Huggins took four for 49 and Timmy subnaik two for 40.
