Promotions at Digicel

Garvin Medera, who was the first Digicel TT employee when he joined the company in June 2003, has been appointed deputy chief technical officer with immediate effect.

Sacha Thompson, who joined Digicel in September 2006 as marketing communications manager, has been appointed to head the Marketing Department.

Fiona Roffey, who joined Digicel in November 2005, has been promoted from human resources manager to director of human resources. Hazel Douglas, who also joined Digicel in 2005, has been elevated from consumer sales executive to the company’s Tobago Country Manager.

In congratulating all four on their promotions, Digicel (TT) CEO Kevin White said these appointments showed that the company is putting an enhanced management structure in place to ensure that it will continue to deliver the best value and best quality services to the people of TT.

White added that Digicel’s operations have grown significantly since they launched in TT last April and the company now employs nearly 500 citizens of this country.
