Don’t run from Quinam beach

How can the authorities tell the locals who lived their whole lives to stay away from the beaches? This is pure cowardness. Considering only a few individuals resort to a banditry and looting, I would give a few proven methods implemented by the State of Florida security forces in eliminating such problem.

1. Sting operations on a constant basis day and night until the few bandits are rooted out. When caught the thieves are shown on television during prime time news. Also specials breaking news are injected randomly on airwaves and on local TV stations. This helps in building confidence towards the security forces.

2. The mere presence of uniformed cops on foot, bicycles or vehicles socialising with the business owners and families during busy hours help in trusting the cops and building relationships to safeguard the community.

3. Finally and the most effective method used by Americans in getting a safer community is in lawsuits.
