Aliah is Manzanilla’s top student

For the Manzanilla Government Primary School, it was a day of celebration when Aliah James got her SEA result and saw that she had passed for her first choice, Bishop Anstey High School East in Trincity.

For this young achiever, she had set her goal on attending this high school and through this achievement make her parents, principal and teachers proud.

A beaming Michael James, Aliah’s father said he had every confidence in her. In recognition of her achievement and contribution to the School, Aliah was given both the Principal and Teachers’ Award.

This young student is a member of the Police Youth Club and is talented in many areas.

She is proficient in playing the steel pan, studying and reading music and ballroom dancing.

On many nights, she accompanies her father to protect the nesting leatherback turtles at Manzanilla, which is literally on her backdoor.
