King sets up Tamana United win

Batting first, King smashed a whirlwind 83 not-out to lift her team to a mammoth 168 for four from ten overs. Lucy Bolah chipped in with 15 while Antoinette Morang added 11.

Real United were then stifled by the experienced Tamana bowlers who restricted them to a paltry 54 for five from their ten overs.

Merle Wafe top-scored with 11 while Ann-Marie McEwen had 10.

Stacey Bolah was the pick of the bowlers, taking two wickets for eight runs.

Meanwhile, there was also a convincing victory for Spoilerz who whipped the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs (MSYA) by 117 runs.

Avian Mejias led the way with 67 runs while Sheldon Balroop played magnificently but fell three runs short of his 50. Christopher Calderon added an unbeaten 11 to the Spoilerz total of 191 for four.

Rodney Stowe was the MSYA’s best bowler with figures of two for 34 from three overs. MSYA never stood a chance at that total, closing on 74 for seven from 12 overs. Shehan de Silva scored 32 while former West Indies player Anthony Gray had 11. Balroop finished with two wickets for ten runs.
