Lobster roti anyone?

Macky, who has been operating the family business for the last 30 years, has always considered himself a pioneer in the local food industry. He boasts that Bamboo Restaurant was among the first in the country to introduce soya and cascadoo roti.

“We are always looking for something new to offer our customers and this year we introduced curried lobster and roti,” said Macky.

The curried lobster is served with either dhalpurie or paratha roti and two vegetarian sides at an unbeatable price of $45. “You cannot find a better deal on a lobster meal in Trinidad,” said a confident Macky. According to Macky at least seventy five lobster meals are served weekly.

The lobsters which are sourced from the east coast of Trinidad are delivered to the restaurant on a weekly basis and are prepared by the six well trained cooking staff.

Macky, who does not advertise, says that he has loyal customers from as far north as Port-of-Spain and La Romain in the south.

For customers who are not fond of curry, Bamboo Restaurant also offers lobster in garlic sauce with fries.
