Preysal meet D Rebels in Leo John final

The final takes place at the Bucarro Recreation, Freeport, on Saturday from noon.

The Preysal cricketers advanced to the final beating Break Away by 33 runs in the 25-over game.

Rohan David struck a brisk 52 and Sheriff Mohammed got 33 in the Preysal total of 154 for eight off their 25 overs.

And Mohammed completed a good allround game taking two for 16 while Rampersad Cassie took four for 23 as Preysal bowled out Break Away for 121 of which Glenford Alexander scored 27, Robin 25 and Dexter Henry 13.

In the other game, D Rebels won by 29 runs after setting Central Touring Team a target of 130.

R Ramjit topscored for D Rebels with 31 while James Dodds added 29 and Kenneth Hazel 17 not out.

When Central batted, despite a knock of 56 not out by veteran ex-Trinidad and Tobago allrounder Rajendra Mangalie they were bowled out for 101 in 20 overs, with Roy Rogers claiming four for 16.
