10 arrested for narco

Separately, marijuana trees valued at $500,000 were found and destroyed in the Santa Flora District during an eradication exercise on Wednesday by officers attached to the Organised Crime Narcotics and Firearms Bureau (OCNFB) and Petrotrin police.

The exercise took place during the period of 3 pm to 5 pm on Wednesday where the officers found 500 fully grown marijuana trees in a clearing approximately 150 feet by 60 feet. However, no one was arrested. The exercise was spearheaded by Supt Ramlal.

Police officers of the Port-of-Spain Task Force found a shotgun hidden in a drain in Gloster Lodge Road, Gonzales after receiving information. They also executed a search warrant at Rigsby Street in Gonzales yesterday where they found and seized another shotgun. Four men ranging in ages 18-26 were arrested and are presently assisting the police in their investigations. Meanwhile, the police have issued a release seeking information on several persons they have deemed “persons of interest”. They are the subjects of intense investigations by officers of the Southern and Port-of-Spain Divisions of TT and are wanted on outstanding Warrants. If seen the TTPS are asking members of the public to immediately contact the nearest police station or call: 999, 555 or 800-tips.

JAMES SHUMA, 27, from Simon Trace, St Mary’s Village in Moruga. He is of African descent, 5 feet 5 inches in height and 135 pounds in weight. Shuma is slim built, of dark brown complexion and frequents the St.Mary’s, Moruga area.

DILLON SKEETE, AKA “BANDY”, 28, from a Building Apartment in Marcano Quarry, Laventille. He is of African descent, 5 feet 9 inches in height and 174 pounds.

Skeete is slim built, dark brown in complexion has braided hair and a short beard and moustache. He

frequents the Eastern Quarry Laventille areas.

SKEDO WILLIAMS AKA “SUNDAY”, 32, from No. 21 23rd Street Beetham

Gardens. He is of African descent, 6 feet 1 inch in height and 174 pounds. Williams is slim built, dark brown in complexion, has braided hair and a goatee. He frequents the Beetham Garden area.
