Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Gear comes to TT

The launch of the two innovative devices to make everyday life easier has in effect, expanded the Samsung Galaxy experience in Trinidad and Tobago.

Thursday’s launch was part of the global media events in 149 other countries for its flagship “phablet” Galaxy Note 3 and smart watch Galaxy Gear, after being first introduced in Berlin, Germany earlier this month. The products will be available in local stores by this week.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 provides a more powerful multitasking experience and infuses innovative features that help consumers tell the story of their lives. The Galaxy Gear, a perfect companion device, combines smart device connectivity, tailored technological features, and stylish design as a single premium accessory.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which is 8.3 millimetres thick and weighs 168 grams, comes with 5.7 inch full HD Super-AMOLED screen display which offers great video experience, with a multi-window feature that lets you split your screen.

Built with the latest Android OS 4.3 (Jelly Bean), the Note 3 has a memory of 3GB and a microSD slot of up to 64GB and runs on a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor.

With a battery capacity of 3,200 mAh and a 13-megapixel on the back and 2MP front facing camera with smart stabilization and high CRI LED flash is packed with all the goodness one can ever wish for in a “phablet”.

Its new S Pen has been improved upon allowing the user to be more creative and explore features such as air command, scrapbook, s finder and pen window.

The Note 3 will be available in Jet Black, Classic White and Blush Pink and in order to encourage its customers to express their personality and taste, Samsung will also offer exchangeable back covers in dozens of additional colours.

The smart watch called Galaxy Gear that works with the Note 3 has a super AMOLED display of 1.63 inches (approx. 41.4 mm) screen and comes with a memory of 512 MB RAM and 4GB internal memory, and a 1.9-megapixel auto focus camera. Its battery, it is said, can last up to 25 hours upon full charge.

The device features apps from the Gear store and lets you make and receive calls, take photos, read messages and emails on the go and connects seamlessly with most of the features on the Galaxy smartphone S4 such as S Voice where the built-in speaker allows users to conduct hands-free calls directly from the Gear, and S Health where the wearable gadget also works like a pedometer to track physical activity via enhanced, built-in sensor technology.

The Galaxy Gear is expected to come in colours such as Jet Black, Mocha Gray, Wild Orange, Oatmeal Beige, Rose Gold, and Lime Green.
