Junior Panorama on Sunday
Some 30 junior bands in three categories will perform before the judges on the big stage at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain, beginning at 9 am. The children in the Primary Schools category will start show, led by Nelson Street Boys’ RC playing “Free Up” in position number 1 out of 12. Defending champs, St Margaret’s Boys’ AC will play “Differentology” in the penultimate position with Malabar RC Steel Orchestra pulling up the rear in position number 12, with “Spankin.” Among the ten finalists in the Secondary Schools category, last year’s winner, St Francois Girls will play a Peter Aleong arranegment of “Big in The Dance” in position number seven, while leading off the category would be the joint Providence/QRC outfit with “Pan in Danger” arranged by Koreece Graham.
And eight Non School Bands will play in the last category, led off by Trinity All Generations Steel (TAGS) with a Malaina Moffett arrangement of “Pan is Carnival.” Looking to create history with a fourth successive win is Success Stars Pan Sounds with “Carnival Nostalgia,” arranged by Mickiel Gabriel, in position number three.
