The third seeded player was eliminated in the semi-final round 7-21, 7- 21 by the division’s top seed and favourite, Guatemala’s Ruben Castellanos. The Guatemalan went on to become the eventual Under-19 Boys Singles champion after defeating fourth ranked Daniel Martinez of Mexico in the final 21-11, 21-14.

In the earlier stages, Mohammed defeated two El Salvadorian athletes, Jassiel Guardado (3-0) and Mario Rodrigo Gutierrez Samayao (2-1) to reach the quarter-final. Here, he faced Colombian Haward Chalen and emerged victorious with a 21-16, 15-21, 21-19 score-line.
