DIRECTV to air World Cup games

With over 800 hours of exclusive programming covering all 64 matches on five HD channels; complete with bonus features like training footage, interviews, updated scores, World Cup news and an interactive portal, customers will be fully equipped with the ultimate interactive World Cup experience.

Coverage of all matches will be available on the Mundial Mix Channel, 601/1601 from where customers can navigate the games simultaneously or individually. As the games kick off, the five dedicated channels will be on the multi-camera system on which customers can view all on one screen, giving access to multiple angles simultaneously.

DIRECTV Sports channel 610/1610 will bring the games from a main angle while channel 613/1613 will give the viewer an exclusive camera to follow the tactics of the games from an aerial point of view. When no games are on, original programming covering various training centres and press conferences will be available.

Channel 614/1614 will feature the top three players selected by FIFA on each team while 615/1615 will focus on players from the competing team. Viewers will see highlights for the current game on 616/1616, including all goals and best moves as they occur in real time.

During the group stage finals, channel 617/1617 will broadcast one of the two games that are played simultaneously.

The Interactive Portal, channel 600, will provide information about schedules, channels and programming at your fingertips. Viewers will have access to up-to-date statistics, tactical information and more. Dates and times are subject to change according to the games’ schedules.
