Race Day 31 a gamblers bonanza

The 10-race programme produced by racing secretary Robin Jaisingh is a “gamblers choice,” with some big fields and wide open races.

As the saying goes, “any number can play” in the 16-horse second race over 1400 metres for horses rated 45-0 on the turf course.

And it could be the same in fourth race also over 1400 metres on the turf for horses rated 70-55.

Other very open races on the card are the sixth, an 1100 metres turf sprint for West Indies-bred three-year-old maidens, the seventh over 1050 metres on the turf for three- year-old and over 30-0 and the eighth an optional claiming 1100 metres race on the turf for horses rated 55-40. Feature races of the day are the third for horses rated 89-50 over 1200 metres with a purse of $48,500 and the ninth for horses rated 90-60 over 1600 metres.

There will be Hi5 betting in five races, the second, fourth, sixth, eighth and 10th.
