Tobago welcomes six
Groome-Duke presented hampers to the lucky mothers on the Maternity Ward.
Kristy Young, 29, of Friendsfield, is the mother of the first baby girl to be born in Tobago. The baby was born at 1.50 am and weighed in at 2.79 kgs and 53cm in length. Young said this was her second child and said she was happy that the experience was over. She has not yet decided on a name for her baby.
The second baby was also a girl, she was born at 3.14am at 3.33kgs and 51cm to 27-year-old Crystal Nurse of Old Providence Road. She said her Christmas wish for her baby that she continues to grow healthy. Nurse said she is also undecided on a name for her baby.
The third baby to be born was a boy, at 6.14 am to Aldensia Bacchus. The baby weighed 3.51kgs and 55cm in length.
First time mother Alicia Pilgrim of Mt St George was the fourth mother to deliver her baby girl. Baby Katecia Kiomee Sky Joseph weighed in at 3.75kgs and 58cm. Baby Katecia was delivered at 7am. The fifth baby a girl, was born at 7.52 am to second time mom 26 year old Dstsian Edmund who plans to name her baby Chiyenne John. Baby Chiyenne weighed 3.60kgs and measured 57cm in length. Tamika Anthony was the sixth mother to give birth to the second baby boy on Christmas Day. Tamika delivered her baby via caesarean section at 1:21pm.
The baby boy weighed 4.75kgs and measured 61cm. The mothers were presented with hampers courtesy the Secretary and the Tobago Regional Health Authority.
