MAC Cinderella Collection
What does this have to do with makeup, you’re probably asking. For all beauty and makeup lovers, MAC Cosmetics will be launching its very own Cinderella Collection. There is already so much buzz online and via social media about the baby blue packaging, the pigments and the polish. The colours are pretty neutral and comes at a great time for the bridal season, and for those of you who simply love a neutral look.
The collection consists of a variety of items. Some of our favorites are:
Lipsticks
“Free as a Butterfly,” a semi-sheer golden nude with a Lustre finish
“Royal Ball,” a fleshy pink also with a Lustre.
Eye shadows
Phoof! Frosted off-white (Frost)
Quarry soft muted plum-brown (Matte)
Omega soft muted beige-taupe (Matte)
Vapor peach-pink with violet pearl (Velvet)
Stroke of midnight black plum with sparkle pearl (Velvet)
Satin taupe with silver shimmer (Frost)
Also looking rather gorgeous are the pigments – Evil stepmother black plum with plum pearl and Pretty it up olive with pearlised pigment.
Now we get to the somewhat magical part. For people with dark lips who want to achieve a lighter shade or simply have their lips looking the same shade as the colour in the tube, here is a trick.
What you will need:
A sponge applicator or your finger can work
Your shade of concealer
Nude lipstick.
How to: After you have finished applying your foundation to your face and you are moving on to concealing, lightly dot a very small amount of concealer unto your lip.
Using sponge or your finger, distribute and blend concealer all over your lips to act as a lipstick primer. This will create a more blank canvas for you to apply your nude lip colour.
After a few seconds, very lightly dust some translucent powder over lips to set concealer.
Lastly, take your nude lipstick, like MAC Cinderella’s Royal Ball and apply all over lips. The payoff will be true to colour and give you the perfect nude look.
