Petro Jazz off to winning Basketball start

Petro Jazz played Upstate in the opening game of a double- header and scored a 93-46 blowout of their opponents.

Kevin Sargeant led all scorers with 26 points, while Ako Pascall got 20 and Lester Edwards chipped in with 13. Kofi Campbell (14) and Marvin Allan (13) led Upstate’s scorers.

In the late game, Quarters United also left nothing to chance, beating Siparia Ballplayers convincingly, 69-43.

Kirk Watty led Quarters with 16, while Kino Fleary got 11 and Kendell Dottin had 10.

For Siparia, Jazel Cedeno and John Dennison each had 8 points, while Benjamin Abede scored 7.

Last night, Detour Shak Attack were scheduled to meet Police in the lone game at the Jean Pierre Complex.

Competition resumes on Sunday with a double-header at the Jean Pierre Complex, with Siparia Ballplayers facing Shak Attack and Police taking on BTU Ballers.
