L-Glutamine

This experience is what we call DOMS which is short for the Delayed Onset of Muscle Soreness. DOMS can start as early as within an hour of post workout or as much as two days later, when the sensation of pain and tightness kicks in.

Glutamine is the most common amino acids present throughout the entire muscle system, keeping muscles intact. During intense training the levels of Glutamine diminishes as your body becomes more exhausted. To get back to acceptable levels takes the body almost a week… as long as sore muscle pain stays sometimes. However, I can attest to the fact that supplementation of Glutamine can significantly reduce the impact of post workout muscle damage, to almost negligible levels.

My greatest pain came the days following leg day, which is always intense and a source of much distress. Then I started a regular regimen of glutamine before bed following my workouts and then again in the morning as a pre workout preparation. I no longer suffer with the discomfort of DOMS and the associated pain – I feel liberated! No pain killers, anti-in_ ammatory or muscle relaxers needed.

You may be having a hard time getting the development you seek with a particular muscle or body part, as glutamine helps your body secrete Growth Hormone that burns fat and builds lean muscle. It then prevents your body from Catabolism which is like Cannibalism, but in this case your body breaks down and eats its’ own muscle. Glutamine will help you to keep some hard earned muscle even when you are trying to lean down fat to show toned muscle.

Science proves that glutamine is the single most important amino acid to anyone interested in muscle growth and improved physical development.

Not only is this amino acid important to fitness folks it can be used by persons with muscle degenerative diseases like AIDS or Cancer as the lose the ability to produce it in the body. Simply becoming ill or losing muscle mass are potential signs of glutamine deficiency.

Here are other important, not muscle related roles glutamine plays in your body The small intestine uses it to line its walls for protection and renews it on a daily basis so most of the glutamine goes to facilitate that essential need

• Post work out flu symptoms are common with people who work out really hard…the glutamine levels fall so low that it compromises the immune systems and now the body is susceptible to diseases in the atmosphere.

• It can even cure ulcers rapidly

Usage recommendation Studies show that as little as 2 grams taken daily can improve muscle development significantly Five grams twice daily is the universal standard for persons into regular intense training Protein intake from food and even some protein supplements have added Glutamine There are no bad side effects
